How we get you funded

One team runs the whole campaign. Software drafts, a senior campaign reviewer approves every page, reward table and ad set.

How billing works, in writing

  1. Before any work you e-sign one fee agreement: the 10%, the minimum, the late pledge share and the gate exit with nothing owed. A contracts lawyer reviews it before our first signing.
  2. At signing you save a bank debit or card with our payment processor for the fee on its due date.
  3. After close we invoice on day 1, on the net amount actually collected, due on day 30. Kickstarter pays creators about 14 days after the deadline.

Compare: LaunchBoom charges $4,000 to $12,000 up front per launch (source). Full-service agencies often charge $25,000 or more plus 5% to 15% (source). Payout timing: Kickstarter.

Where the gate numbers come from.

About 29% of a campaign's money typically arrives on day one, so we launch at 30%. Every input is a number you already own.

Kickstarter has no public API, so numbers are uploaded weekly, not pulled live.

Tabletop first.

of 6,646 Kickstarter tabletop launches funded in 2024, the highest rate in 15 years. $220M pledged to funded projects.

What first-timers get wrong, and what we do

Goal set from hope
We build it from a landed cost quote, about 8% to 10% platform and payment fees, shipping and our fee.
Too many tiers
2 or 3 core pledges, extras as add-ons in the pledge manager.
Too few followers at launch
We run the gate and wait until the crowd is there.
Shipping and VAT left to the end
Fulfilment regions are priced before launch.

Projects we are proud to run

A working prototype, a quoted landed unit cost, honest delivery dates and a goal from $15,000 to $150,000. Things we would back ourselves.

Projects we turn down

Hardware without a prototype, health or safety claims, IP you do not hold, goals set below real cost, or anything that hides shipping risk.

Where this goes

One platform now. Three lanes by Year 3.

Tabletop campaigns raised about $324M across Kickstarter, Gamefound and BackerKit in 2024 (source).

  1. Year 120

    funded campaigns, Kickstarter tabletop

  2. Year 255

    funded campaigns, adds Gamefound tabletop

  3. Year 3120

Projections, not results. Year 3 is about $6M raised, under 2% of 2024 tabletop funding alone.
