How billing works, in writing

  1. Before any work you e-sign one fee agreement: the 10%, the minimum, the late pledge share and the gate exit with nothing owed. Sole traders also sign a personal guarantee. A contracts lawyer approves every version of the agreement before anyone can sign it.
  2. At signing you save a bank debit or card with our payment processor for the fee on its due date. Nothing is charged at signing.
  3. After close we invoice on day 1, on the net amount actually collected, due on day 30. Kickstarter pays creators about 14 days after the deadline. Late fee: 1.5% a month.
  4. Late pledges and pledge manager add-ons for 90 days after close are billed at 10% as they come in.

Funds at $40,000

10% x $40,000 = $4,000

You pay $4,000 after the platform pays you.

Funds at $18,000

10% = $1,800, minimum $2,500

The minimum applies: $2,500. It keeps small funded campaigns from running at a loss.

Does not fund

$0

No fee, no invoice. Gate missed after 8 weeks of ads? Also $0.
